🎯 STUDIO PREP GUIDELINES

How to Prepare Your Files for Your Virtual Mix

🔹 1. Export ALL tracks as WAV files

  • Format: WAV

  • Bit depth: 24-bit (or 32-bit float)

  • Sample rate: 44.1kHz or 48kHz

🔹 2. All files must start at the SAME point

  • Export from bar 1 / 0:00

  • Even if there’s silence at the beginning

👉 Ensures perfect alignment in session

🔹 3. Label tracks clearly

GOOD:

  • Lead Vocal

  • Hook Vocal

  • Adlibs

  • Kick / Snare / Hi-Hats

  • 808 / Bass

  • Piano / Melody / FX

BAD:

  • Audio_01

  • Track_7

  • Untitled.wav

👉 Clear labeling ensures accuracy and faster turnaround

🔹 4. Leave headroom (no clipping)

  • Avoid peaking in the red

  • Aim for around -6 dB headroom

🔹 5. Include a rough mix (optional)

  • MP3 or WAV reference

  • Helps guide the direction of your mix

🔹 6. Organize files in ONE folder

Folder Name Format:
ArtistName_SongTitle_Stems

Include:

  • All WAV files

  • Rough mix

  • Notes (if any)

🔹 7. Upload via cloud link

  • Google Drive
